Long post guys – tread with caution. ☢ Since I've began this new journey in my life, one thing I've learned is that I want to be a beacon of light; an approachable person who leaves judgement behind; a person who extends open arms in hopes of bringing the best out of people. 🤝 I don’t want to be the greatest man, nor do I want to be the worst. All I want to be is an honest man, with an understanding of his place on this earth. 🙏 I want to be honest with myself and face my issues up front. I want to grow; I want the people I care about to grow as well. I want these things because I had to fight my demons in the past. Somehow, I made it out alive. It wasn’t until I began facing my problems with courage, instead of running away from them, that life began to blossom into something clearer and more meaningful. 🌱 We love classic stories like Star Wars, The Lion King, Lord of The Rings, etc. because of the parallels they share with our lives. Skywalker, Simba, Frodo – these characters embark on epic quests to face evil, and miraculously come out victorious. Frodo destroys The Ring in the depths of Mordor, Simba defeats Scar and becomes king, Skywalker ends Darth Vader and escapes the death star. These stories resonate within us because our lives are just as epic as they are – we fall in love, we form strong friendships, we win battles, we experience loss, we face evils in this world. We all have problems that afflict us, but we are all capable of overcoming them as well, just like our heroes do in the classics.
